Site selection

Where we build, and why

A good AI site is rare: firm energy, fiber, land and a clear path to permits, all in one place. We look for the places where they meet.

What we look for

Six things every site needs

Firm fuel supply

Enough gas, steady enough, for the full term of a lease, with a backup supply path.

Fiber in reach

Existing fiber routes close enough to connect the site without years of construction.

Near people

A reasonable distance to population centres, for latency where it matters and for staff.

Room to expand

Land and fuel to grow with the tenant, so the second phase does not need a second site.

Clear regulatory path

Permitting, environmental and local rules we can work through on a predictable timeline.

Access

Year-round road access for construction, equipment deliveries and the people who run the site.

Scoring

Every site, measured the same way

We score each candidate on all six criteria before we spend money on it. A strong site does not need to be perfect, but it cannot have a gap that ends the project.

Fuel supply carries the most weight. Without it, nothing else matters.

Process

From prospect to powered site

  1. Prospect

We map energy, fiber and land data to find candidate sites, and talk to the people who own them.

  2. Diligence

Gas volumes and contracts, land title, fiber routes, permits and access, checked on the ground.

  3. Design

Generation, power, cooling and halls laid out around a tenant's requirements.

  4. Build and operate

Construction, commissioning and day-to-day operation by our team.

A head start

Built on Proton Mining's groundwork

Our sister company Proton Mining already works with energy producers and landowners. Its relationships and site research give Accretion a head start in finding places where energy, fiber and land meet.
